About Natural Specks

Crafted from natural cotton yarns free of dyes and harmful additives, our fabrics may occasionally feature small dark specks. These are simply natural bits of cotton seeds, stems, and leaves. They are completely undetectable to the touch and will gradually fade with each wash.

Care & Washing Instructions

Our organic cotton is kept entirely free of chemical agents during the knitting process to preserve its natural purity and quality. To care for your garments, we recommend using a gentle, baby-safe neutral detergent, avoiding bleach or spot-scrubbing. Hand washing is ideal for best preserving the fabric structure; however, if machine washing, please place the garments inside a laundry mesh bag to prevent stretching and select a delicate cycle at 30°C or cooler. Once washed, gently squeeze out excess water and lay flat or line dry in direct sunlight.

Understanding Pilling

Pure cotton knit fabrics can naturally develop fuzz over time due to surface friction and the physical properties of natural plant fibers. Because our premium organic cotton is left completely chemical-free, routine friction may occasionally cause mild pilling, just as with standard pure cotton textiles.

Managing Fabric Shrinkage

Natural Fibers—including cotton, wool, and silk—are naturally absorbent. Fibers swell when wet and contract as they dry. To minimize shrinkage, always wash in cold water and avoid heat drying or high-temperature settings.
